The European Outdoor Film Tour (E.O.F.T.)
The Mammut/Gore-Tex® E.O.F.T. has developed to the biggest film event for the outdoor community in Europe within eight years. Every year between October and January the most fascinating and thrilling outdoor- and adventure-films go on tour through Europe. In 2001 the tour started with sixteen stopps in Germany. In 2008 the E.O.F.T. visited over 80 cities in five countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands.
The passion for outdoor sports and adventure is the heart and soul of the E.O.F.T. Thrilling expeditions and fascinating sport challenges are what is in our minds. To venture out and meet new challenges in the beauty of nature is what keeps us going. We want to inspire our audience and show the whole variety of outdoor sports. We do not just want to show the fascination of climbing, mountainbiking, kayaking, skiing and snowboarding, we want to bring it closer to the people and give an understanding for this passion.
Since the beginning the E.O.F.T. is supported from the Mammut Sports Group, the Swiss brand for high quality mountaineering equipment, and W.L.Gore and Associates (GORE-TEX®), specialists for lightweight and durable Membranes which are water- and windproof. Moving Adventures Medien GmbH from Munich, Germany, is responsible for production and organization of the program and the tour.
