GORE-TEX® Experience Tour
European Outdoor Film School 2013
The GORE-TEX® Experience Tour European Outdoor Film School 2013 - it's a wrap!
The four winners of the GORE-TEX® Experience Tour European Outdoor Film School 2013 got to spend a couple of inspiring days with the E.O.F.S.- experts team. Set in the breathtaking mountainside of the Dolomites, the participants had the chance to portray the blind climber Andy Holzer and test their filming (and climbing) skills, learning from the pros.
About Andy Holzer: "Seeing is overrated."
Andy Holzer, born 3 September 1966, in Lienz / East Tyrol has been blind since birth – and still masters difficult climbing routes. His motto: Seeing is overrated. At the age of 9, his parents took him to a “real” mountain, the Spitzkofel in Eastern Tirol. Ever since this time, Andy Holzer developed a huge passion for mountaineering.
His current project is to climb the seven highest peaks of the continents, the “Seven Summits”. If one of the five senses do not work, the other four have to work more precise. Based on this passion, Andy Holzer does first ascents of climbing routes, skitouring and expeditions.
